Many of us are familiar with the common sweet-tooth. Whether we are simply sitting around or completing an arduous task, we all, from time to time, experience an urge for something delightfully chocolaty. It is a feeling that occurs naturally and we often have a difficult time escaping it. Although some people can afford to have a delightfully satisfying sugary treat without the feeling of guilt, for those of us trying to lose weight it is quite a different story. Anyone who is serious about quick weight loss, absolutely dreads the common sweet-tooth. We tend to spend so much money on the best diet pills that the thought of a sugary craving makes us cringe. So what are some of the ways we can satisfy our chocolaty urges without the feeling of guilt?
If what you are craving is chocolate, there are many ways to satisfy your hunger with minimal calorie intake. One of my personal favorites is cutting up some delicious fruit and pouring a little bit of chocolate syrup in a dish. By dipping fruit in the chocolate I have a lot more control over the amount of sweets I consume. Furthermore, fruit provides my body with various vitamins and metabolism enhancing fiber. However, if you are not a fruit eater, consuming a square or two of dark chocolate will also do the trick. Dark chocolate is delicious on its own and it is rich in antioxidants.
However, if what you are craving are creamy sweets, such as ice cream, you should try substituting your favorite calorie laden dessert for a flavored yogurt or a small cup of pudding. You can liven up your yogurt with fruit, nuts, and honey or you can simply buy a yogurt that already has a delicious flavor. These are just a few healthy food alternatives to help you cope with the common sweet-tooth.
